Currently our leadership team at ABF is reading "IT", by Craig Groeschel. How churches and leaders can get it and keep it.
Here are some of my favorite quotes from "IT".
If a person truly has it, they can't keep it to themselves.
It can't be taught, but it can be caught.
When a church has it, crativity flows.
When a ministry has it, everyone can usually feel it, but they have trouble describing it.
God creates it but we must work with it.
There's a hugh difference between a good ideal and a God ideal.
People are attracted to a God-sized vision.
Those who have it stick with what brings it. If you have it, guard it.
The issue is always, only, fully, clearly, uncompromisingly, and exclusively Jesus.
For the church to have it, the staff (or volunteers) will likely have it first. As it goes with the leaders, so it goes with the whole organization.
An Independent ministry mindset kills it.
Teams with it look for excuse to celebrate.
Teams without it avoid conflict.
Innovative believers tend to have it.
Those without it tend to criticize those with it.
When you innovate, you've got to be prepared for everyone telling you you're nuts.
Those with it grow even more passionate about reaching people.
Ministries with it fail often, they are lead by thick-skinned people.
Failure is the tuition you pay for success. Walter Brunell (Wow!)
As you seek God He rekindles It in your heart.
Go on failing. Go on. Only next time, try to fail better.
Don't let yesterday's loss talk you out of tomorrow's win. Try Again.
Those who have it fail often.
When you have it, people tend to want it.
If you keep it you wil lose it, but if you share it the more of it God gives to you.
You have more in you than you realize. Ask God to stretch you and let Him.
God makes it available to anyone who wants it.
May your ministry find it and never lose it.
